Extended hours

Surgeries must now provide extended hours as part of their contract.

Extended hours are to assist patients to get into the surgery outside of the core hours 8am-6.30 pm Monday- Friday. These are currently provided after 6.30 pm and on a Saturday.

These are pre bookable appointments only and the service does not provide an emergency service- this is still covered by the out of hours service.

Your GP Practice may directly offer to book you into be seen, although this maybe at a different location this is an extension of your GP appointments system.
